GISD trustees get update on 2024 bond projects

Georgetown ISD trustees were updated on the district’s voter-approved 2024 bond program — an initiative informally tagged, “More space for ever-growing enrollment.” Lannon Heflin, GISD’s Chief of Strategic Operations presented a project report to trustees December 2 board.

GISD reports progress on voter-approved bonds

Georgetown ISD officials last week reported progress on 2024 bond projects to its Citizens Advisory Committee, the group that created the $649.5 million bond package approved by voters in May.All four of GISD’s bond propositions passed.

Georgetown ISD marks opening of Future Ready Complex

 In a moment of “pride, excitement, and possibility,” Georgetown ISD opened its Future Ready Complex with a ribbon-cutting September 10. It is, “more than a building,” said Bretton Schulz, GISD’s Career and Technical Education director.

GISD pursues land purchase in Northwest Georgetown

Superintendent Devin Padvil has been authorized by Georgetown ISD trustees to take preliminary steps to purchase 11.47 acres of land for a new school. The land is adjacent to 135 acres already owned by GISD in the district’s northwest quadrant, according to the Williamson County Appraisal District.
