Old Town residents form neighborhood association

Residents of Georgetown’s Old Town neighborhood are banding together to create their own neighborhood association.
Jose Gandara of Georgetown spent a relaxing afternoon at Berry Springs Park & Preserve Wednesday, March 1, 2023 with his daughters Sophia, 10, and Julia, 7, accompanied by the family's pet goats, Biscuit and B.J., both just a few months old.  He is shown here with Julia, Biscuit, left, and B.J.  The goats, siblings, are leash-trained and well-behaved. Sophia and Julia bottle-fed them at first. Magnolia-based folk music duo Jamestown Revival will headline this year’s Red Poppy Festival.  The three day Red Poppy Festival takes place in downtown Georgetown April 28-30, with live music, entertainment, food and vendor booths.
