Preservation Georgetown highlights conservation

During Preservation Georgetown’s final lecture for the spring, a May 6 panel discussed the process of renovating and restoring historic buildings to make them cohesive with the historic overlay surrounding the downtown area.

Window art wiped away at Grace Heritage Center

Members of Preservation Georgetown who volunteer at Grace Heritage Center were surprised last week to find that the historic church’s windows — which had donned stencil designs for years — were unexpectedly wiped clean by a city contractor.

Preservation Georgetown honors historic shotgun house

Opening the Autumn Art Stroll Thursday afternoon, Preservation Georgetown presented a plaque to the Georgetown Cultural Citizens Memorial Association to commemorate the Gertrude Randolph House and Museum.

Historic Home Tour highlight old Georgetown

Preservation Georgetown’s Home for the Holidays tour featured five beautifully decorated homes in Georgetown’s beautiful Old Town District.  The group hosted the annual holiday home tour December 10 and 11.
