Georgetown City council ponders which grass is greener

The future layout for San Gabriel Park will include nine baseball diamonds, more than 15 soccer field configurations and two sand volleyball courts. The layout update represents the fourth phase of renovations at the park, which were presented to Georgetown City Council April 8.

Third year of Two Step Inn within sight

The third annual Two Step Inn is taking place in less than a month – April 5 and 6 – at San Gabriel Park. The Georgetown Parks Department for years had planned for a festival space to provide entertainment to residents in its Parks Master Plan.

Feedback sought for Blue Hole, San Gabriel parks

Changes are coming to two of Georgetown’s most popular parks, and residents had an opportunity to learn about plans during two open houses December 11 and 12.

Native American roots along the San Gabriel River go back more than 10,000 years

The long history of Native Americans in Williamson County came to life March 24 during a walk-and-learn along the San Gabriel River. The tour guide was Georgetown resident and historian Helen Cordes. About 70 history buffs joined the tour in morning and afternoon sessions.
