Williamson County considering $1.6 billion in projects for future road bond

Williamson County’s Citizens Bond Advisory Committee Tuesday, June 27, outlined $1.6862 billion worth of proposed road projects and $78.9 6 million in park projects that could be funded through a future county bond package.

Due in part to rising construction costs and inflation, Williamson County is facing a funding gap of more than $100 million to complete projects outlined in the 2019 road bond package, according to Precinct 2 Commissioner Cynthia Long.

Williamson County employee Wanda Davidson received a standing ovation January 17 as county commissioners and her colleagues celebrated her 40 years of service as court administrator for the 277th District Court.  She has held the position since the court was first ordered and opened in 1983. Ms.

Proposed behavioral health program at Williamson County Jail could help those facing mental health crisis

Precinct 3 Commissioner Valerie Covey announced during the January 17 commissioners court that she hopes to start a competency restoration program inside the jail, along with the help of mental health services provider Bluebonnet Trails and the county sheriff’s office.
