Jarrell terminates city manager

 Jarrell City Council terminated former City Manager Danielle Singh during the October 8 city council meeting. The motion was made by Alderman Jeff Seidel and seconded by Alderman Daniel Islas.The motion passed 3-2, with Aldermen Jeff Seidel, Daniel Islas, and Adam Marsh in favor.

Williamson County gives $2 million tax abatement

 Another South Korean company will come to Williamson County, following the path set by Samsung. Soulbrain —  a South Korean-based corporation that provides chemical production use in the semiconductor process — is the latest company to strike a tax abatement deal with Williamson County.

Mamma Jamma Ride supports Lone Star Circle of Care

Coordinated by Lone Star Circle of Care, the Mamma Jamma Ride raises funds for Lone Star's Big Pink Bus, their mobile mammography unit.  The ride honors those who are battling breast cancer, or those who lost their lives to the disease.

Williamson County ESD shifts from volunteer to paid firefighters

With industry and development, comes an increase in population. In rural communities, the demand to keep citizens and property safe also spikes to the point where adjustments need to be made.

Photos: Flock prepares to leave as summer ends

As summer nears its conclusion, the egrets making their home at the rookery in Taylor’s Murphy Park will soon move on. These migratory birds arrive here each spring to add to their families, usually leaving by late-September, or early-October.

Liberty Hill attempted murder leads to three arrests

 Three individuals were arrested in connection to an attempted murder in Liberty Hill earlier this year, and Williamson County officials provided an update about the case Wednesday, September 18.On March 8, at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Williamson County adds personnel to CPS caseworkers

Williamson County previews plans for $18 M property

 On Friday, Williamson County elected officials and department heads gathered at Staccato Ranch in Florence to review the county’s strategic plan while receiving leadership training.
