Herbert William Kunz, of Georgetown, passed away on December 16, 2022, at the age of 80 with his family by his side. Herbert is preceded in death by his wife, M. Elizabeth Kunz; his parents, Louise Maurer Kunz and Theodore Kunz; and siblings Carolyn Kunz Richbourg and Andrew Kunz.

Gift boxes, big stuffed animals and toys were handed out during the Georgetown Police Department's Blue Santa distribution, held at the Georgetown Public Safety headquarters on Saturday, December 17.  Volunteers gave out gift boxes for 2,235 children and over 700 pre-qualified families this year.
A menorah placed near Grace Heritage Center at Ninth and Main Streets, is seen on Sunday, December 18, 2022, the first night of Hanukkah. The menorah, placed by Georgetown's Messiah Echad, will add a light each night beginning at 6 p.m through Hanukkah.
