Georgetown YMCA gets large donation from H-E-B

At the YMCA Camp Brightwell’s annual “Camp was a Flip” pancake breakfast on August 8, grocer H-E-B announced it would donate $500,000 toward the new Georgetown YMCA that is being built on Williams Drive near Wellspring Church. A portion of this donation will also fund scholarships for YMCA programs.

First impressions: Crowds give big thumbs up to new Wolf Lakes Village H-E-B

The shiny new H-E-B and its parking lot were filled Wednesday, June 7, when the company opened its long-awaited Georgetown store in Wolf Lakes Village. In a festive atmosphere with strolling mariachis, eager shoppers filled their baskets, snacked on samples and feasted on barbecue.
On Tuesday, company officials — along with the project developer Iva McLachlan and Georgetown and Williamson County VIPs — cut the ribbon to celebrate its addition to Georgetown.

Georgetown’s new H-E-B is ready for customers. The Wolf Lakes Village store opened its doors at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7.
On New Year’s Day, construction takes a break on the new H-E-B on West University across from Wolf Ranch Town Center. The street-facing facade is in place and the store is expected to open later this year. On the left, work continues on Ascension Seton Health Center. H-E-B, Costco and more: Updates on major developments planned for Wilco

Cities in Williamson County saw the beginnings of several large manufacturing, infrastructure and industrial developments in 2022, including the groundbreaking on Georgetown’s incoming South Lake Water Treatment Plant and construction on the Samsung semiconductor in Taylor.
