Changes to Blue Hole Park’s master plan are taking shape as the city moves through the 30% design phase for a park redesign, with a slightly reduced project scope and a construction estimate of $7 million. A Blue Hole Master Plan was finalized last fall.

Across two days dedicated to cleaning up San Gabriel Park, about 150 volunteers showed up to help restore the grounds after floodwaters caused damage in July.

Georgetown continues Garey Park updates, expansion

More amenities are on the way to Garey Park, as a five-year project enters its second phase. The next phase of improvements include an expansion to Garey House, changes to the park entry, an amphitheater, three group cabins, a retreat pavilion, a RV host site, parking and a play ranch.

Riverbank cleanup coming to Rivery Park

The City of Georgetown will host a riverbank cleanup event in Rivery Park on December 9.  Volunteers can check in for the event beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the city table near the playground, which is located in the middle of the park.
