Two Step Inn sees delays, refunds for rainout

Rainclouds threatened the Two Step Inn festival all day Saturday, April 18, and when the steadily darkening clouds finally released water around 5:30 p.m., it was a deluge. Lightning and heavy rain sparked a weather delay, cancellation of several acts and eventually a weather evacuation.

Georgetown's water territory sale on May ballot due to ‘exponential growth’

Georgetown’s Water Utility serves about 74,000 water customers, 27,000 of whom live within an area that was once the Chisholm Trail Special Utility District located north of Georgetown and into Bell County.

Prepare for Two Step Inn in Georgetown this weekend

The Two Step Inn country musical festival returns to San Gabriel Park this weekend, April 18-19. This year’s Two Step Inn headliners include Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, the Goo Goo Dolls and Randy Travis.

Chris Stapleton, Brooks & Dunn to headline Two Step Inn

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn will headline next year’s Two Step Inn country music festival in Georgetown. The event takes place April 18 and 19 in San Gabriel Park. Other artists on the 2026 lineup include 90s rock band Goo Goo Dolls and country legend Randy Travis.

Georgetown gathers together to revive San Gabriel Park

Across two days dedicated to cleaning up San Gabriel Park, about 150 volunteers showed up to help restore the grounds after floodwaters caused damage in July.

Volunteer to clean up San Gabriel Park

Two park clean-up events will take place at San Gabriel Park on Tuesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 31, for those wanting to provide a helping hand. The event on July 29 will take place from 9-11 a.m. The July 31 event will be from 4-6 p.m.

Fundraiser set up for San Gabriel Park cleanup

The Friends of Georgetown Parks and Recreation has launched a fundraiser to support cleanup efforts at San Gabriel Park following recent flooding. The group set a $25,000 goal and has pledged to match donations up to that amount.

Portions of San Gabriel Park reopen

The portions of San Gabriel Park north of Morrow Street, including the splash pad, skate park, event law, Community Center and Sunken Garden have reopened to the public. The rest of the park is still closed for debris cleanup after the flooding during July 4 weekend.
