The 12th Annual Chase the Chief event held at East View High School on Sunday, March 3, 2024 included a Fun Run, a 5K race and a fitness fair. Proceeds help fund grants for physical education programs at Georgetown area schools. The two races included approximately 1,800 participants.

Color the sky with kites at Garey Park

Bring your kite to color the sky at Garey Park with the Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department’s Color the Sky Kite Day on March 24.
The event will be held on in the meadow of Garey Park, 6450 RM 2243, from 1-4 p.m. Attendees will have to pay the park entrance fee.
