Cardiac-arrest victims have a 45 percent higher chance of survival when CPR chest compressions are started before first responders arrive at the scene. With that in mind, Georgetown Fire Department and Williamson County EMS held 10-minute hands-only CPR demonstrations on the courthouse lawn June 3.

Over the past year, Georgetown’s total market value has increased by $930 million – from $25.14 billion to $26.07 billion – with the largest increase seen in commercial development. The city’s total taxable value has also gone up from $20.61 billion to $22.35 billion over the past year.
