Chief among them

The 12th Annual Chase the Chief event held at East View High School on Sunday, March 3, 2024 included a Fun Run, a 5K race and a fitness fair.   Proceeds help fund grants for physical education programs at Georgetown area schools.  The two races included approximately 1,800 participants.

Round Rock roundabout restructures roads

“No more stoplights. No more bouncy railroad tracks,” said County Commissioner Terry Cook, who drives in the area of the new and improved Ranch To Market Road 620 and Deep Wood Drive intersection in Round Rock twice a week.

Georgetown City Council chooses Austin Avenue pedestrian bridges design

Georgetown City Council decided to move forward with a design for the Austin Avenue Pedestrian Bridge during their meeting on February 27, despite the council having to re-bid the project and some members reluctantly agreeing on a design.

Williamson County Emergency Management honored by National Weather Service

The Williamson County Commissioners Court recognized the county’s Office of Emergency Management for being designated as a StormReady community by the National Weather Service during the March 5 commissioners court meeting.

The basketball and tennis courts at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, 3005 County Road 175, Leander, are being resurfaced, repainted and restriped now through April 12.
