Georgetown gas prices low compared to state average

Gas prices in Williamson County remain significantly lower than the state average, with per gallon prices for regular unleaded gas sitting at a $3.05 average within the area, according to the American Automobile Association. Meanwhile, the Texas average was recorded at $3.15 per gallon on April 4.

Donations help lower lunch debts of GISD students

Donations from Christ Lutheran Church and the Georgetown branch of A+ Federal Credit Union will go toward paying off lunch balances for a number of Georgetown ISD students, the district announced April 4. Christ Lutheran raised $2,360 from parishioners’ donations. A+ FCU donated $1,000.

Children celebrate phonics with the marriage of ‘Q’ and ‘U’

The little groom “Q” and the little bride “U” were joined together in a very special wedding at Georgetown’s Primrose School March 30. “We will watch Q and U spend their lives working together to make words,” said Kevin Pitts, ceremony officiant and Georgetown City Council Member.

Over 800 celebrate ROCK at Barn Dance

Ride on Center for Kids saw record turnout for the nonprofit’s annual Barn Dance this past Saturday, April 1. The equine-assisted therapy center estimated over 800 guests for the night of dinner, dancing and entertainment, and welcomed a packed house.
