Annual gem show highlights local collectors' passions

Ken Oliver has been collecting rocks ever since he got a Rocks and Mineral Kit in fifth grade. Now at 86, he has a collection of several hundred rocks and minerals. Some are glistening in display cases in his living room while others are stored in boxes. “Rock collecting is very easy,” Mr.

Art scapes: New arts center opens in downtown Round Rock

The City Arts Center in downtown Round Rock opened its doors in the Griffith Building offering ample space for art plus two-story-high cathedral ceilings and views of the paseo. This revitalized building was once a fire house, an auto shop, City Hall and the library.

Lone Star Circle of Care will launch its first-ever specialty care service line, endocrinology, at Texas A&M Health Science Center – Specialty Care in Round Rock.

Winter storm ices Williamson County, but leaves minimal damage

Following rain, wind and a hard freeze from Winter Storm Fern this weekend, Williamson County is expected to bounce back to normal by the end of the day Tuesday, January 27.

Photos: Residents seek shelter with warming center

Nonprofits like Helping Hands of Georgetown, Navigation Services, First United Methodist Church and community volunteers — have opened a warming center at Getsemani Community Center, 412 East 19th Street, Georgetown, for those seeking shelter during the ongoing cold front.
