Blue Santa applications for holiday gifts open until December 12

Christmas time is quickly approaching and the Georgetown Police Department is working to make sure every child has a gift under the tree this year. Families with children that need assistance can fill out a Blue Santa application this year until Monday, December 12.

With more than 80 percent support, Georgetown residents reauthorized the city’s existing 0.25 percent street maintenance sales tax during the November 8 election. The city’s street maintenance sales tax has been in place since it was approved in 2002.
