Helen T. Cross
Helen Theresa Cross passed away peacefully on November 20, 2022, in Georgetown, Texas.
Helen was born on October 15, 1925, in Augusta, Kansas. She lived most of her life and raised her family in Bethany, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Jim Erwin in 1974. Her marriage to her first husband, David Erwin, ended after 29 years.
She married Norm Cross in May, 1979 and they celebrated life very happily together for 30 years until his death in 2009.
Helen graduated from the Augusta, Kansas, high school. She then went on to establish a career as an administrative secretary. She was an amazing homemaker and a talented artist. She enjoyed painting, reading and writing. She and Norm enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Helen’s primary focus was always her family and her faith in the Lord.
Helen leaves behind a loving family. She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, one son and spouse, and all their children and grandchildren; Teresa and Al Hollis, Anita and Don Bell, Kathy Weiner, Dana and Bruce Sparks, Ryan and Shannon Cross, also a wonderful sister-in-law, Joyce Fischer and family.
Helen was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, many loving nephews and nieces.
Helen’s family wishes to thank the staff of Tiffin House Assisted Living and Memory Care for the incredible, never-ending supportive, loving care they provided each moment throughout the last nine months of Helen’s life. Their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
Helen’s family also wishes to thank Suncrest Hospice, especially Carrie, Nina and Paulette. The Suncrest Hospice team of knowledgeable, caring staff generously provided direction and support to allow Helen the comfort and peace to enjoy each day of her life and her family. Her family will always be grateful to this exceptional hospice provider.
