Barbara Elder
Barbara Elder, 84 of Georgetown, passed away January 2, 2023. She was born on January 18, 1938, in San Antonio, to K.J. and Dovie Vick.
She had a career in Personnel Management and continued to boldly pursue roles in other areas of her field for many years. She was an amazing administrator. She loved her savior, Jesus Christ, and continued in Bible Study and prayer ministries in her churches throughout her life. She was an active member of her church, the Worship Place in Sun City. She was politically active and an advocate for causes in which she passionate about. Her hobbies included exercising, gardening and loved finding treasures at garage and estate sales. Barbara was an active member of the Worship Place in Sun City. Barbara was a true Texan, a loyal and strong-minded woman with a great sense of humor.
Barbara is survived by niece Colette and husband, William Robinson, niece, Melissa Cassidy, nephew, Kenneth Grams, nephew, Steven Grams and wife, Kyoko, deceased nephew’s wife, Betty Leatherwood, great-nieces, Meagan Robinson, Marie and Ellen Grams; great nephew Clint Robinson; great-great niece, Chloe Robinson and step-children Sarah Whitfield, John Elder Jr, Rebecca Elder and Thomas Elder.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, John Elder, and nephew John Leatherwood.
Per Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Faith in Action in Georgetown, Texas. The family would like to express their gratitude for all the love that has been expressed.
