Stanley “Slick” Steve Sherek
March 4, 1954 – December 31, 2022. Stanley Sherek was born to parents Rudolph and Louise Sherek in Taylor. He raised hell and left his mark on the lives of the people that entered his life until it was time for him to rest. He fought the good fight.
Stanley was survived by his brother, Robert Sherek, daughters, Danielle Rashid, Elizabeth Sherek and son, Eric Sherek. Stanley was blessed with three grandchildren that he loved to spoil.
He grew up in Granger and was a mover and a shaker. Always up for a good time until he settled down and made a family with Pauline Villarreal of Taylor. He enjoyed a long career as a truck driver where he was able to enjoy the beauties of the country. He spent his free time working with his hands, fishing and spending time with family.
Join us to celebrate his life Saturday, January 21, at Jerusalem Pentecostal Church, 908 East MLK Jr. Boulevard, Taylor. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. followed by fellowship.
