Grace Abbie Callahan

Grace Abbie Callahan, 89, passed away of natural causes in her home in Georgetown, Texas, on March 19, 2023. She has joined the love of her life and husband, Ken, and her eldest son, Robert in heaven. She is also joined with her parents, William and Alberta Riley, and sisters, Jean Millea and Jacqueline McMillan.

Grace was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and lived in Fall River and Attleboro. She moved to Sun City Texas 26 years ago and never lost her New England accent.

She was an avid dog lover and all the neighborhood dogs knew there would be a treat in her pocket. She also loved all children. Grace volunteered at elementary schools when her children were older. Elementary only, since she always said she didn’t want the children to be smarter than her. She most recently enjoyed volunteering with PALs in Georgetown.

She will be deeply missed by her children; Bryan and wife Sally Callahan, Mark and recently deceased wife Ruth Callahan, and Janet and husband Alan Morton and her sister June Starr.  She was blessed with five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  She was fiercely devoted to her family.

There will be a gathering for friends and family on May 20 at 11 a.m. at her home.
