Ramon Santos Uson, 74 of Bartlett passed away on June 21, 2025. He was born on February 6, 1951, to Vicente Arriola Uson and Leonora Santos Uson. Ray was raised in Tumon Bay, Guam. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and went on to join the United States Navy. He served from 1971 to 1976 during which he was deployed to Vietnam. One of his assignments was Operation Babylift, in which he assisted in a mass evacuation of children from South Vietnam to the U.S. and other Western countries. After his honorable discharge, he began working for the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier and later a supervisor. He met his wife Janice Ruemke Uson in Paramount, California, where they both worked. They were married at The Chapel of Roses of Chula Vista, in California on September 6, 1981. In 1992, he moved his family to Bartlett, Texas. Ray was very active in the community. He volunteered to help build the Bartlett Baseball Complex, where he was a coach and umpired many games. He was a TASO certified umpire with the Temple Chapter. For over a decade, he was a city councilman in Bartlett and also spent many years on the school board. Ray’s favorite things were raising animals, working on old trucks, spending time on his farm, making new friends and most of all going to the beach with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife Janice, his daughter Kathleen Hriczko, son-in-law James and grandson Philip. His son Joshua Uson, daughter in law Heather and grandkids Andrew Chavarria, Elijah and Josiah Uson. His surviving siblings are Maria Uson Horn in Texas, Lourdes Uson Hiura, Joaquin Uson and Rosie Balajadia in Guam. He was preceded in death by his Mother Leonora and Father Vicente, his sister Pacita Cruz and brother James Uson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Bartlett Youth League, P.O Box 452 Bartlett, Texas, 76511. Ray will be greatly missed by family and friends. No services are planned.

James (Jim) Edward Kollar Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather and teacher, passed away at home in Leander, Texas, on June 18, 2025, at age 81. Born April 16, 1944, in El Paso, Texas, he was the eldest of three sons of Edward and Emma Kollar.
