In Loving Memory

Elizabeth (Libby) M Boyette

October 14th, 1970 – June 30th, 2024

Elizabeth (Libby) Marjorie Connolly Boyette, age 53, while surrounded by her loving family in Magnolia Texas, passed from this world to join our Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Sunday morning June 30th, 2024. Libby was born on Oct. 14, 1970, in Minneapolis, MN. She was the youngest of three children born to Virginia Hinman Connolly and John E. Connolly.

Libby spent her childhood in Minnesota until her family moved to Austin Texas in 1983 at the end of 6th grade. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1989 and started attending Austin Community College. She met her soul mate, John Boyette, on August 23rd, 1990, and they married in Feb 1992. The couple started their family in 1994 and eventually moved to Magnolia, TX in 2000.

Christ, her husband and children, and animals were her joy. She was so proud of her children and volunteered her time at church nurseries, children with disabilities activities, animal shelters and Samaritans Purse. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening for butterflies, reading and writing parenting journals. Her children had fun recording sayings she made up to make us all laugh. Libby always thought of other people’s wants-needs and loved to make things out of something old. Painting a picture, sewing patchwork together, sanding a piece of wood to put a poem on it or sanding a wood branch and shellacking it for a hiking stick.

Libby battled her breast cancer illness for a little over seven years. Her kindness, smile and laugh warmed all our hearts and we miss them so, but her legacy lives on in the people she touched and the values she instilled in the lives of the people she spent time with.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Connolly, Grandparents Gordon, and Betty Connolly. Uncles, Gordon Connolly, Robert Connolly. Grandparents, Bailey Hinman and Dorothy Greene Hinman . Aunt, Sally Kellogg and husband Keith Kellogg and her mother-in-law Patricia Boyette.

She is survived by her husband John Boyette, daughter Marci Machen and husband Kyle. New grandchild Charlie Machen (born Sept. 8/2024), sons Wesley Boyette and Timothy (TJ) Boyette: Her mother Gini H. Ragsdale and her husband, Douglas Ragsdale. brother-John G. Connolly and his wife Pat; sister-Dorothy (Dori) Keily and husband Bob. Uncle, Joeseph Connolly. Aunt Barbara & Richard Thomas, sisters-in- law, Sharon B. Wood and husband Jeff Wood and Sarah B.
