Eileen Gwendolyn Larson Keese, 100, passed away August 27, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas.
Eileen was born on January 4, 1925, on a farm in McCook County, near Salem, South Dakota. Her parents were August Ludwig Larson and Gwendolyn Leola McMartin Larson. Eileen was the second of 8 children.
After high school Eileen attended Eastern Normal College and received her secondary teacher’s certificate. Eileen taught at a little school north of Chester, South Dakota. She worked part-time during the weekends at a café in Sioux Falls where she met Edward Lee Keese.
Eileen married Edward Lee Keese in 1945.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee Keese, her mother Gwendolyn Leola McMartin Larson, her father August Ludwig Larson, 2 sisters: Martha Mary Nelson, and Elizabeth Ida Darr. and 4 brothers: Duane August Larson, Fay Norman Larson, Russell Lewis Larson, David Llewallyn Larson.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Edward Keese and wife Carol of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kenneth Gene Keese and wife Irlene of Lone Oak, Texas and John Alfred Keese and wife Barbara of Georgetown, Texas; as well as 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren and brother, Carl Alfred Larson of Lakeville, Minnesota.
