Donald Albert Tschoerner
Donald Albert Tschoerner, age 69, passed away on January 22, 2026, with his family by his side. Donald was born on August 17, 1956, in Taylor, Texas, to Albert (A.J.) Tschoerner Jr. and Dorothy (Stojanik) Tschoerner. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and later graduated from Jarrell High School. Donald married Brenda Lynn (Rutkowski) Tschoerner on October 18, 1990. Together, they shared 35 years of marriage.
Donald worked at Wilsonart International in Temple for 18 years before leaving in February of 2001 to become a full-time farmer and rancher. This role suited him well, as he had a love for the land and took pride in hard work. His work ethic was strong and steady, and he continued tending to his cattle and crops until just a couple of months before his passing.
From January 2004 through December 2024, Donald proudly served as President of the Moravian Club, a volunteer role he held with great dedication.
A lifelong Catholic, Donald also volunteered his time at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, assisting with maintenance and projects around the church. One of his most meaningful accomplishments was leading the creation of the Veterans Memorial at Holy Trinity Cemetery. This memorial was Donald’s vision from the beginning, and through his persistence, it was fully donated, constructed, and dedicated on November 11, 2025, where it will proudly serve veterans past and future.
Donald is survived by his wife, Brenda Tschoerner; his sons, Russell Allen Tschoerner (Samantha Amidon) and Craig Andrew Tschoerner (Megan Tschoerner); his grandchildren, Cody, Sadie, Kaleb, and Caden; his mother, Dorothy Tschoerner; his sisters, Sharon Lloyd and Joyce Nemec; brothers-in-law Kevin and Ron; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert (A.J.) Tschoerner Jr.; his grandparents; and his godparents.
