Duff Ross Tucker passed away February 8, 2023 at the age of 88. He was born in Andice, Texas to Ollie and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Tucker. He is survived by his wife Pat, sons: Kenneth, Ronald, Joel and James Tucker, Frank and Tommy Bernhardt, daughters: Debra Smith, Elizabeth Denson and Tessie Dillard.
Duff served in the United States Air Force for 8 years as an Aircraft Mechanic. He began his 30-year career with Hart Graphics as an ink technician and worked his way up to a four-color pressman. When he ended his career, he moved to his country home in Florence, Texas where he raised cattle and goats.
He was married to his wife Pat for 43 years. He taught all his sons how to work on all types of machinery. Several of his sons followed in his footsteps and became master mechanics. For several years he did road work for friends and family. He was known for his “toys” aka his motor grader, backhoe and dump truck. He spent many hours attending state auctions where he purchased many of his “treasures”. Family vacations included reading every “hysterical marker” aka historical marker and not passing others in the “no pissing zones”.
Duff was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers: Howard, Ollie “OP”, William “Billy”, Donald, Darrell, Charles and James; sister Dena Phillips, son-in-law Sonny Dillard and daughter Margaret Chaney.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather.
