Ginger Ann Westling

Ginger Ann Westling “Gil” was born in Knoxville Tennessee September 8th, 1943, and left us February 25, 2023. She was proceeded in death by her parent’s father Lee Gilstrap, Mother Ginny Hall, and stepfather James Hall, her husband LaVern Westling “Duke”, son Adam and sister Rebecca Duhon. She is survived by her Brother James Roland Hall Jr., Daughter Erica Westling Duran, Daughter Nicole Burke, granddaughters Lacey Rountree, Samantha Burke, and great-grand son Carter, two nephews and many cousins.  In the early years of Gil’s life, she lived in Knoxville Tennessee.  Her family moved to Beaumont Texas where her father and uncles were contractors. Gil spent her teenage years living in Sulphur Louisiana with her mom and stepfather. After graduating from Sulphur High School Gil returned to Beaumont to attend business school at which time she met her husband, Duke. They would marry and have 3 children. Gil and Duke would enjoy 58 years together, living in South Austin, Pennsylvania, and eventually retire in Georgetown Texas.  Gil was a talented cake decorator, artist, and quite the party planner. She was active in Scandinavian and Vasa Club. She loved her church, family, home, and friends very much.
