Dedicated Wife, Loving Mother, and Grandmother, Jeanette Marie Brown, age 67, of Georgetown, TX, passed away from natural causes March 28th 2026.
Jeanette was born in Olathe, KS to Jack and Reita Mae Hammond on December 17, 1958. She graduated from Plano HS in 1977, and continued her education at Tarleton State University. She Married William G Brown on January 5, 1980 in Plano,TX. They had their first home in Kerrville, TX and then settled in Georgetown, TX. The couple had 2 children: Rebecca Lynn, and Zachary Oliver.
Jeanette was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, a member of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, an avid horticulturist, and had a deep love of her family and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving husband William Brown, sisters Patricia Spencer (Jerry) and Sue Apgar, and brother George Hammond (Maureen), daughter Rebecca Davenport (Kenneth Davenport), son Zachary (Kendra Brown), and 4 wonderful grandchildren Riley, Mason, Liam, Garrett.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday April 7th, 2026 with funeral services following at 3:00pm at Harper Presbyterian Church in Harper, TX. The burial will take place at the Brown Cemetery in Kimble County TX. Pallbearers will be Eugene “Yogi” Whitehead, J. Kelly Miiller, Jeff Welch, Johnny Garza, Mark Perhamus, and Rick Webster.
In lieu of cut flowers, the family is requesting live, potted plants that will continue to grow in Jeanette’s honor. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Schaetter’s Funeral Home of Fredericksburg, TX. Expressions of sympathy may be sent at www.schaetter.com
