Patsy Lynn Martin, age 81, passed away in Chicago, Illinois, on July 3, 2025. Pat held a BA and MA in English from Sam Houston State University. She spent 27 years teaching English in Austin and LaPorte, and in 1998-1999 she was honored as “Teacher of the Year.”
Pat was married to Raymond Hance Martin for 49 years. She is survived by their only child, Sarah Martin Katz, as well as Dean Littlepage, Dr. Matthew and Kendra Martin and Bob and Kathryn Jeter, along with their children and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, followed by a memorial lunch.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Baytown Library or the Susan G. Komen foundation.
