Rodolfo “Rudy” Soto
Rodolfo “Rudy” Soto passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, in Georgetown, Texas, with his beloved family by his side, at the young age of 50.
Rudy was born July 10, 1972, in Del Rio, Texas, to parents Arturo and Maricela Soto. Rudy married his soulmate, Jennifer, at the age of 20 in Georgetown, Texas, on March 5, 1993. Rudy served honorably within the Army Reserves for seven years and then worked within the beer industry in sales for over 25 years. His attention to detail and love for the industry made work easy and enjoyable for him. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Yet, above all, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved children. You could often find him in the stands, or on the sidelines, being their biggest supporter of all. One of his passions was helping patients, like himself, and being a part of the International Pemphigus and Pemphigoid Foundation, as a Peer Support Coach. With the Foundation, Rudy was able to help patients navigate their own journeys through his own experiences and words of inspiration. He was also given the opportunity to speak on Capitol Hill to bring awareness to the rare disease.
The family wishes to thank the respiratory staff, physical therapists, and nurses at St. David’s-Georgetown Hospital along with the doctors from Georgetown Pulmonary Associates.
To cherish his memory, Rudy leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Jennifer Soto; their children: Sierrah Nicole, Brendan David (Jordan Berry), Landon Aurelius, and Arabella Nicole; his four legged best friend, Remi; his parents, Arturo and Maricela Soto; brothers: Arthur, Joe (Natasha), Gilbert, and John Jr. (Rita) Soto; sister-in-law, Kristal Muñoz; niece, Merrissa Soto; and nephews: Joe Angel Soto and Gabriel Pompa.
Rudy was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Herminia Joven; paternal grandparents: Jose and Feliz Soto; and his in-laws: Joe and Ellen Muñoz.
