Round Rock excellence award goes to Wilco Art Guild

Scot Wilkinson, director for arts and culture in Round Rock, presented the Award of Excellence for 2021-2022 to the Williamson County Art Guild at the recent Round Rock Arts luncheon.  Williamson County Art Guild President Rob Neff accepted the award on behalf of the guild.

The Williamson County Livestock Show is an annual event at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor. The event began this Sunday, December 4, and runs through the week.

Tree of Angels returns for 10th year in Wilco

Williamson County will hold their 10th Tree of Angels Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, at the historic courthouse, 710 South Main Street. This ceremony is a special memorial to the victims of violent crime and their families.

Paintings and fiber art on display in Round Rock

Enjoy the art of Melanie Maddox Olson at the Round Rock Public Library. This exhibit offers a selection of the artist’s paintings and fiber art including crewel embroidery. Her art is inspired by experiences living in Italy and Portugal and her love for poetry.

Wilco Homeless Coalition to conduct point-in-time count

Attempting to identify the number of people experiencing homelessness in Williamson County, the Wilco Homeless Coalition will conduct its second point-in-time count this winter. The volunteer-led count is scheduled to take place in late-January.
