Southwestern University, City of Georgetown will break ground on 560 development soon

Southwestern University’s long-anticipated development project on the 560 acres east of campus will officially begin October 23 with a groundbreaking ceremony. The first aspect of the project is a 2023 bond-approved building that will serve as the City of Georgetown’s new Customer Service Center.

Roadwork on Williams Drive in Georgetown causes delays

Road work started earlier this week on Williams Drive from Serenada Drive to Lakeway Drive. The City of Georgetown project will create raised center medians and new landscaping features, while upgrading street lighting, traffic signals and intersections.

Upgraded Rockride Lane in Georgetown ready for use

Improvements to Rockride Lane were marked complete with a ribbon cutting on Monday, September 1, finishing a $12 million project that took about a year to complete. This 2021 Georgetown transportation bond project renovated the roadway from SE Inner Loop to Sam Houston Avenue.
