Eagles Football: Georgetown wins 61-7 on homecoming night

Georgetown turned homecoming night into a game of explosive offense and defensive playmaking, rolling past Pflugerville Connally 61-7.

Piemaker, Georgetown High School alum returns as culinary teacher

Karina Davila likes to bake … really likes to bake. Every weekend, she bakes a lot — hundreds of pies, cinnamon rolls, Pop-Tarts and anything else that strikes her fancy. Ms. Davila is a baker with a commercial oven in her home laundry room, providing tasty pastries to her many loyal customers.

Georgetown nonprofit awards high school seniors scholarships

Six seniors from East View and Georgetown High Schools received scholarships ranging from $3,000- $5,000 from Georgetown’s branch of the American Association of University Women to continue their education.

East View High School advances to basketball playoffs after win vs. Georgetown

East View’s varsity basketball team closed out its 2026 regular season with a win over in-town rivals Georgetown High School 58-48 Tuesday night, bringing the team’s record to 24-9 on the year. Georgetown’s record fell to 11-23.The win sends East View to the playoffs this season.

Georgetown High School students evacuated Wednesday morning due to bomb threat

Update: Georgetown Police Department confirmed that a voicemail bomb threat led to Georgetown High School being locked down Wednesday morning. "Due to the nature of the threat, GISD made a decision to evacuate the school.
