Mauldin, McLaughlin take GISD board seats

Georgetown offers rideshares as public transit option

Later this year, the City of Georgetown will launch a transportation program that will allow residents to take rides with UberX that will be partially paid for by the city. This is part of the city’s effort to create a public transportation system for residents.

Eden Supportive Living is opening a housing community in Georgetown for those with disabilities.Doors will open this fall at 2001 Scenic Drive, which was previously The Wesleyan.The community will include 143 private and ADA-compliant studio units.

Williamson County Court program receives grant over $25,000

The Williamson County Court at Law No. 2 DWI/Drug Court Program received a $27,215 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation.
The money will provide inhouse, evidence-based Moral Reconation Therapy Groups, alcohol/drug use monitoring and individual and family mental health treatment.

Georgetown Palace Theatre extends season

The Georgetown Palace Theatre has extended its theatrical season to last the full calendar year, and is adding four additional shows to its 2023-2024 season.
The new additions include Sweeney Todd, Misery, White Christmas and Dickens’ Christmas Carol.
