Cemetery tours teach history of Southwestern

The International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery will turn into a lesson in history November 5. The Williamson Museum will host a cemetery tour where participants can learn about the teachers, trustees and townspeople of Southwestern University.

Guitarist brings lessons to ministry

A Williamson County guitarist is bringing weekly guitar lessons to children staying at the Texas Baptist Children's Home ministry in Round Rock. Kevin Taylor, president of the Wilco Guitar Society, has lived in Round Rock near the ministry for almost 40 years.

Advent season starts in Bartlett

Kick off the holiday season in Bartlett at St. John Lutheran Church with their annual Advent Fair from 4:30-8 p.m. on November 12. The “country store” will have baked goods, crafts, canned items and casseroles for sale. The church’s famous “cream cheese braids” will be a featured item.

Field of Honor opens this weekend

The Field of Honor will open this weekend, after setup and associated events Saturday, November 5. Opening ceremonies are set for Sunday, November 6. The veterans appreciation event is a program organized by the Georgetown Rotary Club.
