Georgetown resident Philip Smith recently opened Stryke Tuning, a piano tuning business assisting instrument owners in Georgetown and surrounding areas. In addition to tuning pianos, Mr. Smith is the director of music and worship at First Presbyterian Church Georgetown.
10-year-old Ayva Pereira and her mom Sonia Pereira were very happy with their gift boxes and big stuffed animals during the Georgetown Police Department's Blue Santa distribution, held at the Georgetown Public Safety headquarters on Saturday, December 17. A menorah placed near Grace Heritage Center at Ninth and Main Streets, is seen on Sunday, December 18, 2022, the first night of Hanukkah. The menorah, placed by Georgetown's Messiah Echad, will add a light each night beginning at 6 p.m through Hanukkah.
